Is this a true hadeth?
its meaning is : their will be people in my ummah
Regard adultery, silk, alcohol and musical instruments . i also need its detailed explanation, baraka allaho fikom,( may allah bless you) because songs and music is filling the world arround us.
- this is a true hadeth.
the teller is abo malek al ach3ari. sahih al bokhari.
and jomhor al 3olamae( imams) such us the four foqahae and others agree on the truth of this hadeth, except ibn hazm who was the only one who weakned it, and all the scholars(olamae) al mo3tabarine (accepted or known) disagreed with that. and it is very clear that ibn hazm was not a mohaddeth( a scholar specialised in ahadeth)
the meaning of words in this hadeth:
mentioning silk means wearing it for men
instruments means all musical instruments except al duff( Tambourine) in al 3id and weddings, for other true poofs.
the ban or prohibition of musical instruments is clear, the hadeth is telling that from many angles:
- saying" regard" which is clear that what is mentioned here, that is instruments, is haram or forbidden in our chari3a( islam). and people will use it as a normal thing here.
- he associated instruments with what is already forbidden like adultry and wine. and if instruments or music was not forbidden he wouldn't have associated it with what is already forbidden.
as for who agrees with what ibn hazm says, is he saying it convincingly or just because it goes with his likes.
all in all, if ibn hazm was with us today, and heard what is on the scene he would swear that music is forbidden by allah, the issue is not about music but its a question of dancing and exciting movements and bad words used to affect mainly youth. and this doesn't need a fatwa to ban it .all those who watch it know what will be said about it by olama . as sins are overflowing from songs, god forbid.
